A photo of the whole shrub would have been helpful. It is not absolutely clear from these photos, or the height measure, whether the plant is upright ( subsp. longifolia) or prostrate ( subsp. sophorae).

Apologies, I do have a distant photo of the upright plant (right of centre) but I didn't post it at first because the photo was of the lake and the added photo is a digital 2x zoom. I found postrate acacia in the beach sand dunes but nothin in bloom as yet.
