Usually found on decaying wood. One of the hairy agarics.

P. fasciatura is in the Species guide as a synonym for Lentils fasciatus

yes Patricia you are correct; there have been so many name changes over the last few years and when one does not use then on a daily basis one tends to forget them. I stand corrected and hope I have not confused too many people.
