There are several species of Hyporhamphus which it might be. Your suggestion is likely, but can't be sure without a more detailed photo. I'd record it as Hyporhamphus sp.

Hi Andrew that is the only selection in the Database at present might need an update for this species.

Not sure how the database works, but looks like it isn't reliable for IDs then. A quick look in the "field guide" shows a wrong ID for bream, but no idea how to correct that.

Yes a couple of schools of fish in the area Salmon and Tailor working with the birds.
We need a moderator on the fish to change the Data I can do it on the Birds and Butterfly etc but not on the fish.

Ha! I'm a marine fish mod, but no idea how to do that - I haven't had a chance to attend any workshops
