User's notes
Scutellinia sp.
0.2-0.5mm diameter with dark eyelash-like hairs around the perimeter with the same on the underside (if viewed with a handlens). These were orange in colour rather than red and the first for this season. They appear annually on this log. Note also the tiny translucent species of Orbilia seen in some of these images. Again we have noted the appearance of both species on the same old log over many years.
