Possibly a Bolete species, but really need to see more detail of the fertile surface i.e. the gills or the pores and also how the stipe / stem is attached to the cap; is it solid or hollow; if this is a bolete species, does is change colour when injured, does the stem have a bulbous base or is it straight up and down? The more detail you can offer, the easier it is to assist with identification.

After looking at your images again I feel confident (95%!!!) to identify your sighting as Boletellus dissiliens. this is because of the robust nature of the fungus, the ornamentation on the stem (stipe) and the cap - these flattened scales in young specimens are typical of this species. Then the colour is also typical. The leaf litter seems to indicate that it was growing near an Allocasuarina, a species often associated with mycorrhizal fungi - fungi that are associated with plant roots in a symbiotic association where both organisms benefit.
