Yes, Kim, I agree. These flies were fairly common around the houses. Unfortunately I don't have a good view of the venation, but I was concerned (re Muscidae) that the Median vein is not recurved but continues straight to near the apex of the distinctly rounded wing tip. But I gather this can happen in some Muscids.
