Found some of these on the 9th of April, only today discovered they are ghost fungi. So out l went in search of some more and found these in the nature reserve at Tura Beach.

Thanks Teresa 😊 l was so excited when l discovered these fungi are the Ghost fungi. I’m still learning about fungi, there are so many varieties and so many beautiful ones in our area. The ones l photographed on the 9th were no longer there, so l wasn’t sure if I’d find anymore but l did and these ones are so beautiful.

Jackie the first photo l took was with the torch light to show what it looked like to the naked eye. With no light on it, it has a bluish white glow. It’s only when you set a long exposure that the bioluminescence is captured like this. I didn’t use my tripod for this shot, but positioned my camera on a towel on the ground. I did have a 2 second delay timer so l had no movement. With an aperture if 5 an iso of 1600 and a shutter of 30 seconds. You can photograph fungi without a tripod, although using one gives a better result, these photos were taken without one, you just need to make sure your camera is really stable.
