These about 10cms high were growing in undisturbed bushland

Great looking saprotrophic (decomposer) fungus. These and a number of other species that all used to be all under the genus 'Coprinus'. A revision of that genus split it into four genera: Coprinus, Coprinellus and Parasola. Apart from the Parasola it's sometimes difficult from images to determine which genera the fungus may belong to, so like Heino Lepp from Canberra, I may just put them under 'Coprinellus etc.' - a listing I'll expand the species list to include later today.
