Although communal these specimens differ from Gymnopilus in that they have a dark brown concave centre and the light yellow gills are decurrent. The two caps appeared to come from the same stem. Found on the south side of Burrewarra Point in sandy soil.
Coming back to this sighting with 'fresh eyes' I suspect (about 98%) they may be immature Ompholotus nidiformis, so will id as such. Sorry it has taken such a very long time!!
