Hi Paul, nice creature to encounter. Was under a small old log next to Bemboka River @ Moran's Xing, will def stop there in future for a variety of reasons, in the right seasons! I also thought A. sutherlandi initially re the small size and low caput, etc, though as a matter of course these days I send 'Mygals' off to Adam Parsons in the Sth Highlands who is a bit of a gun on these things. He confirmed A. sutherlandi. Regards A. yorkmainorum, i found one of these big ♀ beauties last spring near where my wife works in woodland near Crace, a new suburb of Canberra. It was under a piece of thick fallen bark and the temp was the first sunny 20°C day we had last spring, and luckily she was out of her burrow. The pics of that are in CNM, and the loc is def east of the GDR. Nice to 'work' with you the other day, hope to catch up again this season (I may well be doing a trip down there for beetles in OCT/NOV as the lovely family i stayed with has invited me back :)
