Yes it was thrilling, but they were only metres in front of me and as they tussle brought them tumbling down the hill a bit in my direction I thought it was to get out of there. They were still going at it.

That's understandable, as they're formidable predators and having them fighting fiercely in close proximity would be a bit unnerving. Did you happen to get any video footage?

No sadly. I should have but I was too busy taking photos and I'm inexperienced at taking video with my DSLR. I find it hard to find the subject in Live View when the sun reflects off the screen.
