Hey you're making a great start to the records for this season - thank you. This fungus is a 'jelly' fungus, which is just a morphological group encapsulating a whole range of different families and genre. The distinquishing characteristic of this morphological group is their 'jelly' (in the broadest sence) like texture. Sometimes they are also called 'ear fungi' because of their shape. They gain their nutrients by breaking down dead wood so are classed as being saprotrophic.

Yes the blue one is a fungus. Sorry I haven't been back to you on that as have a choice of a couple and haven't had time to look into it more carefull. Hopefully I'll get to it soon.
