In a dirt pile in Ulladulla. Looks like two type of fungi

The main fungus you have is Cyathus stercoreus a 'bird's nest fungus and a decomposer (saprotrophic fungus). This fungus changes a bit as it matures and gives the impression that you may have two species. Great photo as it clearly captures the different stages of development from the immature, which look like little spikey balls, then the graual openeing of the top, through to the fully mature showing the lead grey interior with the peridioles (small egg like spore structures).
Though there is another fungus - two specimens of the one species I suspect, both examples are past their use by date. It looks like they were a species of Coprinus, an ink cap fungus. This group are also decomposers. Both these specimens, one in the foreground and one in the top left of the photo have fallen over and starting to break down.
