Light brown fungi, darker at the base with faint lines stretching out from the base. As the cap matures it develops a kind of ruff around the edge. Gills are a white colour with a light brown edge coming down to a white short stalk.
Fungi with that 'fan' shaped reproductive structure, white gills running down the stem (decurrent gills), white spores and growing on wood are typical characteristics of this genus. The light beige colour on the edge of the gills appears to be a result of the fungus drying out and ageing.
