User's notes

Round, deep burgundy cluster of small fungi. The slender cap was quite firm to the touch with a faint raised button in the middle. The biggest cap was approx. 2.5 cm across. The underside bore slightly lighter gills. The stalk was also firm. The fungi stood approx. 4 cms high but the stalks were curvy.

One of the common names given to this fungus is 'Burgundy Wood Tubaria' which your description indicates why. Often fround at the base of dead or dying wattles and other natives.
