A while back this species with its vivid coloured stipe and gill colours would have been classified as a Dermocybe. However that genus has now been absorbed back into Cortinarius in the family Cortinariaceae. Great looking specimen. These always delight and surprise when you turn a dull looking fungus over to be confronted with such vibrant colours!!
