Good record. First record of this genus in Budawang Coast Nature Map area. Well spotted. Was this area burnt?

Thank you, Pam. No, this was not on burnt area, but was in what I initially thought was a big area of bird excrement - it looked strange enough, and big enough, for me to investigate further. Perhaps the white area was a fungus itself?

I will leave this record as belonging to the genus Peziza. It doesn't have those pinkish brown tones that your most recent record showed.

Interesting. Thank you. Now I compare them - they do look different. Do you think these ones could be young? (I don't know anything about fungi).
