thanks 'Plants'. Will be keeping my eyes peeled for this one in future! 5 spp. of jewel beetle in a 5m x 5m patch !!

in this case the petals of flowers were the object of appetite though other jewel beetles eat other areas of a plant....

There is overlap in C.ericifolim, C. taxiforlium and C. ellipticum, which makes things difficult. I will soon be recording a sighting of C. ericifolium at Beecroft Peninsula recorded today.
