Pupa stage. Was it found in the soil?

It was found on the concrete.

Robber fly larvae (grubs) are predators that live in the soil. When they have finished feeding, they change into the pupa stage, also in the soil. Maybe this one was dug up by a bird (for food) and then dropped.
