Thanks for the posting - for spider identification and particularly Huntsman spiders it helps a lot to have a photo of the underside. Do you remember anything about how teh underside looked?

this is probably Isopedella victorialis, the closest to here they were recorded in their revision was Wangaratta, realistically no other species with this pattern will occur here though.
