I think this is Boletus granulatus but not sure which category it belongs to. It was large than my hand, and had no gills underneath. Just a millipede!
Boletus granulatus (now known as Suilus granulatus) is introduced and only grows under pine trees. Any fungi in teh Albury/Wodonga area with a cap larger than 30cm is definitely Phlebopus, but fully mature Phlebopus can be as small as 10cm. Larger than your hand puts it in the range of 20cm which makes it highly likely to be Phlebopus. I have confirmed it on this basis and that the stem is at least as wide as high. It is a native species
