Thanks. I am wrestling with a new macro lens. Trying to sort out how to get depth of field that pleases me

Yes it is a challenge. getting enough light so you can use a small aperture. I use twin macro flash attached to the front of the lens which provides the light but does often give the appearance it was the middle of the night. I would be pleased with those photos.
