Ummm - I'm just putting this up for interest (unidentifiable). I think this is a caterpillar covered in fungi? (could well be my imagination). I noted two or three on the ground during my walk.

You could put in a separate sighting for the fungus. I Googled "caterpillar fungus" and all I got Ophiocordyceps sinensis, which is clearly different.
