User's notes

All were out, most were standing in flood water. Only one was covered in insects and its flowers looked tired and starting to go brown. No honeyeaters in them.

@Steve818 what do you reckon? I cannot imagine it is something locally native, so possibly a Corymbia?

@Tapirlord yes likely a planted Corymbia due to the terminal compound inflorescence. Tallowwoods are also planted and can look similar too as they also have terminal compound inflorescences, and bark can be similar colour but usually more fibrous. So a Corymbia is more likely.
