User's notes
The fourth image shows what I understand is the closed anterior thoracic spiracle (the light brown coloured structure) which provides oxygen to the damselfly’s wing muscles and brain. It is usually hidden from view behind the head/eye structure, but visible in this view. The fifth image provides some detail of the external attachment of the wings to the internal muscle structure.
