Some kind of thorny old world wattle. There's a lot more along the crossing place trail along the riverfront

This can become a major weed - and with its dagger like thorns can be problematic to remove - so good to treat early if possible

There are a few limes, lemons and orange trees planted behind the buildings on the causeway. not sure if this was in aid of that or not. THey have been there over 20 years.
