User's notes
The sequence of images shows a wasp collecting wet mud to make its many pot shaped nests. After the wasp collected scrapes of mud it vibrated its jaws to liquify the mud and make it easier to shape into a ball for carrying. This was evidenced by a high frequency sound coming from the wasp once it collected the mud and started to form a ball shape. These wasps use this same vibration method to liquify mud when placing it during nest forming. The first image shows the wasp holding the liquified ball of mud between its jaws and with its front legs, just before flying off. Thanks to Barbara for the initial sighting. The markings on the wasp's body appear to show that this is the same wasp seen in sighting 4464210.
