Off the jindera walla road

Looks like an annual, soft leaves, there appears to be a least some nodal glands. Leaf looks too broad and plant too soft for E brownii and flowerhead too wide for Sororia; the only other 2 I think its could be. Plant is definitely too soft and weak to be E curvula

If you still have the sample, check whether there is a gland below (often 5-10mm) the spikelets. It could be E leptostachya
