While they do not match images of Conoeca guildingi on Bold they are a reasonable match for an image of a female of Conoeca guildingi, Scott, in the article by Schachat & Brown, 2017 Wing patterns of ditrysian moths (Lepidoptera: Psychidae) include variants and violations of predictive models.

So are we to conclude that adults of L. adelopis, L. annosellla, some other Lepidoscia species and C. guildingi are all so variable that the species cannot be determined from superficial photographs ?
