Foliage seems broad for E.oppositifolia?

What else do you suggest? Ssp Rubra has flat leaves CF ssp oppositifolia but that is in WA and SA anyway. Leaves become broader from West to East in a continuum, and the subspecies overlap in range- it is really a cline. Next closest spp. is dalyana which has terete leaves but it's in the same area. I did wonder, because of the non pink flowers, but the other experts within our group also concluded oppositifolia ssp rubra.
