Lol! It was directly under the large rough apple bark with other rough apple barks around. The fruit must have come from one of the large tereticornis in the area. I’ll now look up what the fruit of a rough apple bark looks like. Why don’t we leave this unidentified.
I used your book. A floribunda fruit = a ribbed capsule, ovoid, 7-10 mm long, 8-10 mm wide. E tereticornis = globose, 4-6 mm long, 4-8 wide, valves exserted. Very different indeed.
