this moth was pretty when it flew, and when it landed the underside was patterned and pretty

At this stage the 2 species I have found with spots like this on the underside of the hindwings are alpine species. It will need more searching

I see what you are saying, but I think it looks like this due to oblique camera angle. The wings may not be as pointy as they appear. Apart from 9 Chrysolarentia sp, with undersides somewhat like this, that I am still considering, I can't find anything else with undersides like this.
