This was spotted crossing the Turlee-Leaghur Road alongside Lake Mungo.
According to a NPWS ranger who has viewed this image, it is likely to be a strap-snouted brown snake (Pseudonaja aspidorhyncha)
Wow, that's pretty special, what a stunning sighting. I didn't even know about this snake species. This is what I love most about NatureMapr, just how much I learn about our natural flora and fauna and it makes me want to explore to see it myself and also work to protect what we've still got.
