Sadly, of the 10,000 or so named moth species in Australia, the undersides of only about 1000 species have been published, whereas nearly all have had photos of the upper surfaces published. I regret I could not find a match to you photo amongst that 1,000. I expect it is one of the other 9,000.
That's fine donhe. It was so small when I moved round to get its 'other side' it took off into thicker grass. I get more moths than I do butterflies. At least its on record, and maybe one other visit I'll get all sides. Thanks for looking. KYlie :)
