This was only to get a location, so I am glad you could identify it. I might be able to add better photos when I get back to Canberra.

End of Birdsville airport runway so it could be native or alien. I will check for other photos when I get home.

I would take Harry's word over mine in a heartbeat haha, those extra photos make a good case for Cenchrus I think
