I’m a Canberran on holiday in Queensland. I made it to the tip and I’m now heading slowly and reluctantly back to cold. 30+ years academic librarian. Masters in science - biology but I’m struggling to learn to key plants. Mostly I don’t try and enjoy being a citizen scientist recording whatever I see that fascinates me.

I recommend learning the Australian Tropical Rainforest Plants – 2020 edition 8 – Trees, Shrubs, Vines, Herbs, Grasses, Sedges, Palms, Pandans and Epiphytes – information system,
including the best of type, under-the-hood herbarium specimens' measurements data-matrix-based, botanical key :

Way better for the intellectual health than doing crosswords IMHO – either professionally for me or in healthy learning, amateur ways.
