One of those common big hairy spiders that likes to stretch it’s web where both insects and humans can get easily trapped! The sort that will fill in the space over a gateway leading to a light source, then, in the morning usually tucks itself somewhere under the eaves till night fall.
It may be related to my next hairy one, posted at sighting 4645856, which seriously lacks clarity, especially for the view of its back. They both had a prominence towards each side on the front of their upper backs, and similar body shape overall. Having checked back through my own records, this is probably the same individual spider as the one pictured at Sighting 4655402 (which I'd just uploaded).
