Zooming in on pics 6th& 7th upper labial (lip) scales contacting its eye so going off my Wilson & Swan 2nd Edtn (2008) I would say it's subspecies A. s. stimsoni rather than A. s. orientalis? No GPS recording device at the time. Have had to guess the location from satellite. Was at top of a dunny door close to where I was camping nth of visitor bldg (with Telstra pay phone) on the west side of road overlooking rock shelf and ocean to the west - I've gone for what I guesstimate would be the relevant bldg. I think it would have been hunting geckos and whatever other suitable prey is attracted to the toilets.

Thanks Patrick good to have a confirmed ID. I see ALA indicates (via the External Link) "....Studies published in 2020 on the members of the genus Antaresia concluded that Stimson's and Children's pythons are synonymous species with different polymorphism. As a result, Stimson's python is now considered a polymorphic variant of Children's python....". The perils of having an out of date copy of Wilson & Swan!
