This grass has distinctive ripples running horizontally across many of its leaves. It has a similar running form to that of carpet grass, but the individual leaves of this plant are much longer and wider.. I have seen this in a few locations locally, though all have been in human occupied areas, so I’m not sure if it is native or introduced. To the best of my knowledge it has not been intentionally planted by humans.
