Heliocheilus ??

The thorax looks rather worn, so it may have lost pattern scales from the wings, so could be Heliocheilus ferruginosa, although a bit far south ?

Heliocheilus aleurota? A much more widespread species which has the black wing markings.

All the Heliocheilus sp other than H. ferruginosa seem to have faint or no forewing submarginal arc of dots which would persist after the eroding of the scales that this specimen has suffered.

I note that most of the ID'd sightings of Heliocheilus moribunda on iNaturaliast lack the forewing submarginal arc of dots and/or a dark coloured thorax. For example, I suggest Sighting 4373480 may have been misidentified and is in fact H. aleurota?
