This native tree was planted about 30 years ago. The think glossy bright green leaves are suggestive of a rainforest tree (photos 1, 2 & 5). It gets run-off from a small dam above it, and is not exposed to frost. The rich yellow flowers (end of November), have 5 distinct disc-like petals which are well separated (photo 1). This tree has a bifurcated trunk (photo 4), and loses it’s bark in thin, long and fairly narrow strips, (photos 3 & 4).
