This moss has some similarities to the moss at sightings 4664015, 4664021, & 4695971. The latter was found within a few metres, on the same tree species, and at the same time as this moss. I’m wondering if it is a different species, or just a more advanced colonization of its host tree than (particularly) 4695971’s moss. The shape of both the spread, (looks to be spreading in a ‘tentacle’ formation), and the individual mosses seem more ‘stiffly petalled’ whereas the ones at the other sightings look softer and whorled in shape. Photo 2 is marked to show the differences, the top LHS circled moss is the same type as described at sightings 4664015, 4664021: the lower RHS circled moss marked is the subject of this sighting. The host tree is a Bitter Bark as posted at Sighting 4656312
