User's notes

Another very tiny fly with an overall lustre of metallic yellow-green. The abdomen has relatively medium alternating black and white bands running from side to side (best seen in photo 1). The wings are clear with 2 patches of black on the outermost half of the wings. The eyes and upper legs look to be a bronzy-yellow, and green respectively, but this could just be the angle of light on any sheen that might be there. There also appear to be black & white markings on the face (photos 2. 3 & 4). I believe this is the same species as at sighting 4672620, and are commonly seen locally (Copmanhurst NSW North Coast) in the warmer months. Possibly a Green Longlegged Fly (Austrosciapus connexus) It is perched on the fragrant leaf of a Pineapple Sage (Salvia elegans), an exotic. (Proper sighting number will be added once that sighting is uploaded)
