This is a medium-small katydid (?), which is a mid green all over, except for most of the dorsal surface, and the lower legs, which start being the same green as the body, and from there merge graduate in colour to a tan and on to a dark brown at the ‘feet’. The brown on the back starts as a dark brown at a point between the eyes, merging as it widens through varying shades of browns and fawns, and ending in a mid brown at the base of the long flat spike emanating from the end of the abdomen. The area of brown over the thorax is flanked by 2 pale cream ‘lines’ which tape to the rear end of the thorax, (photo 2). A very dark brown line commencing at the rear of the thorax, continues to flank the dorsal surface to the end of the abdomen. (photo 3). The dark (?brown?) antennae are almost 1 & ½ the length of the body. I have tried, unsuccessfully, to upload an mp4 video (as the 5th item) showing the range of directions they frequently and quickly move through. Can anyone help me get it up as part of this sighting?
