I have suggested this moth is M. toxophora, however I believe it is misclassified as Noctuoidea when it should be transferred to Arctiinae (Tiger Moths). I have reported this error to MichaelBedingfield whom I believe will be able correct the miscategorization in the FIeld Guide.

I believe this is the first sighting of this moth species on NatureMapr and for NatureMapr's Brisbane region however the species has been previously listed for NatureMapr's South Coast region without any verified sightings to date (28/7/2025).
