A long and fairly slender wasp, which appeared to be all black with a green sheen, except for the latter part of the narrow tube connecting the abdomen to the thorax, which mostly appeared to be a dark tan (photos 3, 4 & 5). The wings had a slight rainbow sheen to them and the venation appeared to be black at some angles (photo 5), and possibly a dark tan at others (photos 3 & 4). The mouth parts form a very long ‘V’ shape (photo 1). The front of the head and the dorsal thorax were not observed. I suspect this could be the same, (or at least a similar), species to the wasp at sighting 4695859. This one was interested in flowers on oregano plants.
