User's notes

An all-black wasp with distinctive orange antennae that move incessantly. It also has a habit of flicking its folded wings up and down when it moves, though it also hold them still for periods! The black-veined wings appear dark though transparent. This one was fossicking in and around a large collection of mudwasp nests in a sheltered and shaded location. A common encounter in this area (Copmanhurst NSW), I believe it to be the same species as the wasp at sighting 4634246, a black spider wasp (a Pompilidae Sp). I note that the orange antennae of this specimen do not have the black tips that the specimen at sighting 4634246 displays.
