User's notes

saw two fly up off the track but had to focus on one for a photo. such a pretty moth. As it was sitting in the clover its wings pulsated making the moth look skinny, then plump.

Well found Kylie. A new moth for me and Nature Mapr. Only 3 records on iNat.
Glyphips are quite metallic looking. They are often attracted to flowers to feed. Possibly more active in the morning. Other rare ones may be found near wetlands, swamps etc (I think they eat sedges and such)

wow. didn't know that. TY Wendy. Once it flew it was pretty easy to see even though it was small. In the field it reminded me of this moth Macrobathra desmotoma ( A Cosmet moth) but now I can compare I can see they are different!

In my experience Glyphips tend to stay near the ground. Macrobathra desmotoma tends to hang around wattles as the larva feed on them.
