_Ficus pleurocarpa_ huge stipules and leaves on the forest ground.
Healthy lowland tropical rain forest, healthy canopy epiphyte tree evidently in vigorous new foliage growth above, has dropped on the forest ground track below many of these prominent huge stipules with hairy bases, protective to and dropped off from the new foliage growth as these new leaves expand out of these protective stipules, together with some leaves, shown here .
Mossman Gorge, long circuit track back part going up nearing to the ridge highest elevation track part .
