While I was photographing this female glossy, I noticed a well-camouflaged insect crawling along her back feathers, and then underneath a wing folded along her back. I think it was a fly? Best cropped photos I could get

Sorry Lisa can't ID down to genus and couldn't find any specific references of louse flies on Glossy Blacks
